Studio Closure Policy 

The dance studio will be closed on days when there is no school due to inclement weather or a major holiday.  
Classes begin August 12, 2024

Below is a list of Observed Closures

Closed August 31-Sept 2, 2024 for Labor Day

Closed November 24- 30, 2024 for Thanksgiving Break

Closed December 22- January 7, 2025 Winter Break

Closed February 17-22, 2025 Mid- Winter Break

Closed April 7 -12th, 2025 for Spring Break

Closed May 26th, 2025 for Memorial Day

Last Day May 29th, 2025

Winter Recital is December 6th and 7th, 2024 White Water High School Auditorium

Spring Recital is June 5-7th,2025 White Water High School Auditorium

Tuition is based on the number of classes per year and not on the number of classes per month.  The above Holidays are accounted for.

Attendance & Make-up Policy

Please be respectful by being on time and ready to begin class.  Regular attendance is essential to proper development. Absences may be made up in a class of the same subject and age group during the same month of absence, unless otherwise given permission by the instructor.  Please note that during recital time make-up policy may not apply.  No refunds will be given for classes missed.  Excessive absenteeism during recital time may result in removal from class if the instructor feels it has hindered the progress of the class.  Please understand that it is not Dance Contempra’s desire to take said action, however, we must do so in extreme circumstances in order to protect all involved.  If a costume for said class has been ordered no refund will be given.  If costume fee has not been paid in full, Parent/Guardian is still responsible for payment of the costume.  The student will receive the costume when the costume order arrives. We would appreciate especially during recital time that all absences are called in by a parent/guardian prior to class time. Please understand that children tend to do better without distractions.  Dance Contempra invites you to observe the last class of every month from September through January.  We will occasionally leave the door open to allow parents the opportunity to watch but also to teach our students that dance is a performance art . We know that our system might be a little old fashion but is a proven system that works well for our teachers and our students. Your co-operation is greatly apprecitated.
